The scientific achievements of Yves Meyer, especially his role in the birth and elaboration of wavelet theory, were eminently publicized when he received the Gauss and the Abel prizes. These Selecta enlighten his whole legacy, whose diversity and deepness, characterize his scientific trajectory, which lead to the development of wavelets. This is the first of three volumes. The reader will find in these three volumes a substantial and representative part of the articles by Yves Meyer and original texts by other authors that illustrate his evolution and explain the consistency of his work.
Volume 1 contains articles in harmonic analysis, in relation with number theory and their interplay with crystallography. In addition, this volume gathers contributions by V. Berthé and R. Yassawi, D. Gratias and M. Quiquandon, R. Moody, A. Olevskii and A. Ulanovskii, and an original paper by Y. Meyer himself.
A publication of the Société Mathématique de France, Marseilles (SMF), distributed by the AMS in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Orders from other countries should be sent to the SMF. Members of the SMF receive a 30% discount from list.
